Privacy Policy

The short version

CompareUnitPrices doesn't require an account, doesn't use tracking cookies, and doesn't sell or share your data. The only personal information we collect is an email address, and only if you choose to give us one — either to get a price-drop alert on a specific product, or to hear once when the site's live-pricing feature launches.

What we collect

• Email address — only if you submit the "notify me when this drops" form on a product page, or the launch-notification signup. Each is stored with the specific product/target price (for alerts) or nothing else (for the launch signup).
• Search terms — what you type into the search/compare box, along with whether it returned results. We use this only in aggregate, to see which products people are looking for that we don't carry yet. It isn't linked to your email or any other identifying information.

We don't collect passwords, payment information, or physical addresses — you never create an account here, and every purchase happens on the retailer's own site (see below).

How we use it

Strictly to send the specific email you asked for: a one-time price-drop alert, or a one-time launch notification. We don't send marketing email, and we don't share, sell, or rent your email address to anyone.

Cookies and tracking

CompareUnitPrices itself doesn't set tracking cookies or use third-party analytics/advertising scripts. When you click through to a retailer (Amazon or others) via a product link, that retailer's own cookies and tracking apply once you land on their site — that's between you and them; see their privacy policy for details.

Who processes it

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (our hosting and database provider) and emails are sent through Resend (our email delivery provider). Both act strictly as processors on our behalf — neither uses your data for their own purposes.

Affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. Clicking a product link doesn't share your email or search history with the retailer — it's just a normal, tagged outbound link.

Your choices

Price-drop alerts stop automatically once they fire. To have any stored email address deleted sooner, or to ask what we have on file, email compareunitprices@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
